Lively Run Goat Dairy is home to many goats including, Alpine, Nubian, Saanen, and South African Boer breeds, as well as cross breeds. All our goats have names and are members of our family. Come for a tour and let your kids pet our kids!
Our cheeses contain no preservatives, food colors, or artificial additives of any kind. Our rennet is of vegetable origin. Goat milk, and goat milk cheese, while containing lactose, is a healthy alternative for many with certain allergies to cow milk products. Goat milk and goat milk cheese is digested more easily and thoroughly than cows milk, transferring a higher percentage of nutrients into the body.

At Finger Lakes Farmstead Cheese, we make European-style farmstead cheeses using fresh, raw milk from our family farm. Our cows graze from early spring to late fall: grazing keeps our herd happy and healthy, and is known for its positive effect on cheese flavor. We currently produce a traditional Dutch-type cheese named "Schuyler," and a Gruyere-style red-washed cheese called "Red Meck."
